Multi-project Zugersee-Ost

After a total of 1.5 years of track closure, Kummler+Matter Ltd, together with ARGE VANORAIL, has successfully completed the multi-project Zugersee-Ost.

This multi-project includes overhead contact line work, new construction of overhead conductor rails, signal installations as well as cable splicing and earthing work, all of which were carried out under the supervision of Kummler+Matter. A total of 151 new masts (including jibs) and 29 new yokes (between 9 and 26 m in length) were installed on this 14 km long section (Zug-Oberwil - Walchwil - Goldau).

Following the plan and without incidents, this multi-project became operational in both directions on 30.11.2020. The entire catenary system has thus been successfully confirmed as fault-free and is now in optimum operating condition for the timetable change on 13 December 2020.
